ONLINE TUTOR AND FACE-TO-FACE TUTOR: Highly qualified and experienced previous teacher and assistant head teacher of state and private sectors. I am non-selective and have an extremely high success rate in teaching English, mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning to children of all ages. To allow for optimum learning, I take on a limited number of students. Once places are gone, they are unlikely to be available for the rest of the year.
As one of the best tutors in the area, I pride myself on my success, dedication and commitment. When I take on a child to join my cohort, I make 100% commitment to them to help them get through the exams. This is my full-time job and I always strive to go that extra mile to help children. My tutoring approach is nurturing and extremely pastoral, with high expectations for each child to achieve their full potential. My tuition sessions are personalized for your child. I tutor from home, which means I have all my resources to hand, which enhances the personalized experience for face-to-face and online. I am constantly buying new resources and updating them. I use a range of different teaching techniques for each child and give them a range of strategies, depending on what works best for them. I plan sessions but am not afraid to veer off plan if something has arisen during the week at school which necessitates your child needing urgent support with a current class topic. I use the latest up-to-date resources and current knowledge to aid my tuition sessions. I also attend conferences multiple times yearly to keep up to date with new teaching developments. My years of experience have led me to where I am today, which is a job that I am extremely passionate about, successful at, and one that I intend to continue for as long as possible.
My thirteen years of previous teaching experience has been crucial to my current success. I have had experience of planning and teaching for all year groups in the primary sector. I have been a full-time tutor for four years and have had impressive success (I was a teacher and part-time tutor previously) and I have worked in both the private and state sectors. My last teaching post was at The Lady Eleanor Holles School. When I commenced my career as a teacher, I was a year one teacher for two years and therefore know about phonics and the foundation of language and mathematics in detail. I have also previously worked as a year three teacher for two years. As a previous Assistant Head teacher and private school teacher, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching all year groups, but especially the upper year groups, such as years five and six. I have substantial knowledge and experience of private and state school assessments, including the CATs and SATs.
